Hollywood Pinball Mobile Home Park of Trailer Tom and Ffej Knar

This video features some clips from scenes in the hollywood film “Minimum Wage”. Filmed on location in the trailer of Ffej Knar and Trailer Tom in Farmers Korner Trailer Park, in Breckenridge Colorado. It also features some behind the scene footage from outside of the home during the films production.

The Story of how this movie came to be filmed at our trailer:

Fellow film producer and awesome human being Jonathan Bricklin from Steamboat Colorado decided to make a film entitled “Minimum Wage”.

You may know Jonathan as the semi professional ping pong player that started the ever popular phenomena called Spin Galactic.

http://www.spingalactic.com/

or from his high profile relationship with Susan Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon

SPiN New York has taken the city’s social scene by storm with a mix of sport, design, and entertainment, since its launch in the summer of 2009. SPiN was created by several owners including Jonathan Bricklin and Susan Sarandon. SPiN New York, located in the New York City’s Flatiron District, boasts a 13,000 square foot space, open to members and guests alike, for nightly events, tournaments, and casual socializing and play.

Our good pal David Lagrange, introduced Jonathan to the idea that the”Minimum Wage” movie film crew should team up with the PinPin “Minimum Wage Entertainment” crew for this project, and set a meeting with Jonathan,Trailer Tom, and Ffej Knar.

And so it began….

It was decided that several scenes would take place in the living room at our trailer, Tom’s room and some lead in master shots were to be filmed in the trailer court.

The film is about the adventures of a couple of roommates named Edger and Oscar that live in a trailer park. Edgar is played by Chris Elwood and Oscar is played by Brian Klugman.

You may recognize Chris Elwood (blue hair) from such films as “How High” with Method Man and Redman. Five Wishes, Meddle and Steal. Or Televesion shows such as Sliders, Married with Children, and MTV’s “Punked”

Brian Klugman (red afro hair) in the suburbs of Philadelphia. His film credos include the new Tron movie, Colverfield, Burnning Annie, The Princess Diaries 2, Can’t Hardly Wait, The Bogus Witch Project. TV shoos like CSI, Frasier,

The mobile home of Trailer Tom and Ffej Knar provided the perfect set for the scenes where the roommates are hanging at home.

The behind the scenes footage begins with Mackenzie Findlay admiring Brian Klugman’s outfit that is “So Hot”. Trailer Tom setting up a second angle for Jonathan. Ffej Knar laughs at the cast and crew hanging on our ghetto makeshift trailer porch.

Mackenzie Findlay, Teresa Cherry, and David Lagrange have been seen in the PinPin Snoeboard and Pinball films and they all have been a major help in the PinPin Films Projects.

Teresa Cherry has a scene in “Minimum Wage” that was filmed in the Vail Vally Medical center. David Lagrage plays a used car dealer that sells Edgar an awesome bright yellow VW Yugo.

Keep an eye out for our Fire Pinball machine as well as our Indy 500 pinball machine

The still pictures at the end are some of the movie flyers, the DVD artwork, and the autographed cast poster that still hangs in the trailer today.

Trailer Tom And Ffej Knar party at MTV Spring Break Las Vegas 2011

Ffej Knar and Trailer Tom at MTV Spring Break with SNOOP DOGG, PITBULL and WIZ KHALIFA in Las Vegas, NV Pals casino

Trailer Tom and Ffej Knar do it big in Las Vegas at the Palms resort and Casino for MTV Spring Break 2011.

Ffej and I arrived at the Palms just after we ate a nice meal across the street at Country World Buffet at the Rio. We rolled into the filming of MTV’s spring break just in time to see Snoop Dogg walk in surrounded by about 8 huge body guards. MTV spring break is a huge event.

We could not have timed it more perfectly because it was obvious people had been waiting in line for most of the day. The lines were super long and wrapped all around the casino, but FFej and I strolled right up, did not wait in line and got right in to the front row pool side for the concert.

In this video you will see Trailer Tom and Ffej Knar fist pumping with Snoop on top of a palm tree planter box just lookers left of the stage for the whole Snoop Dogg song “Sweat” song. aka “I wanna make you wet”
The Dee Oh Double Gee played all his old classics too like Jin and Juice. DJ Pauly D from the MTV show “Jersey Shore” looks on and gets some fist pumping in as well.

Then look for Trailer Tom in the pool with his hoodie and Bally Pinball T Shirt as Pitbull performs his hit song “Hey Baby (Drop it to the floor)”
Trailer rocks out with a blow up dolphin and some giant inflatable cherries as Pitbull works the stage and the crowd.

Then Ffej and Tom head to lookers right of the stage near some giant pastel colored dice as Wiz Khalifa performs the smash hit “Black and Yellow”. Wiz also sang “Roll Up” but Black and Yellow really made the spring breakers go wild and was definitely a crowd pleaser.

When is sponge break going to be back in Vegas? Hopefully real soon. Las Vegas is bound to become one of the premiere spring break destinations after MTV thaws a pry like this.

Hopefully MTV Spring Break 2012 will be attended by Trailer Tom and Ffej Knar.

EYE FOR FILM UK
“….Special When Lit is reminiscent of that other great documentary Spellbound. Both draw the audience into a world of obsession, impress upon you the level of devotion, and charm you with the people in that world….”

RAINDANCE FILM FESTIVAL UK
“Masterfully shot, Sullivan brings out something nostalgic in his documentary, intriguing in some ways, also fascinating in others, it seems at time like an emotional and sensitive area, with pinball’s fans describing of the game like a relationship, their faces lighting up as if they were recounting their first kiss….Special When Lit is an encapsulating and absorbing watch, retracing the passion of pinball followers, but also the sad dissolution of, what could be described as a certain way of living and playing.”
Raindance Festival Director Elliot Grove 20/9/09

BIG SKY FESTIVAL
With a gripping intro, the film draws you in and keeps your attention with its larger-than-life characters. Names like “The Storm” and “Pingeek” exemplify the way the game has even created alternate personas for some players. The result of a train wreck, mixed with an epic saga and baked in an oven of special effects, is enough to make viewers dropping video game remotes, hankering to get their hands on nostalgic mechanical games.

If you are into pinball this movie is a must. Buy it on DVD if you can find it somewhere that is not sold out yet, or do as I did and download it in iTunes.

PinPin goes to NASCAR in Las Vegas

What does NASCAR stand for? Song

http://www.stevegoodie.com/

the song in this video was written and performed by Steve Goddie (see above website link) This is our tribute to Steve.

Last year our (Trailer Tom, FFej Knar and Jordan Bebout) Las Vegas vacation video became so popular that the limo drivers in Las Vegas burned copies of our video to DVD so that they could play it in their limos! Thats right, if you are in a Limo in Las Vegas, ask the driver to play “Im in Las Vegas Trick” song and you might just see us.

Here is a link to the Vegas vacation video we did last year (2010):

our other films are at this link:

http://pinpinfilms.com/

We knew we had to try to 1up ourselves this year, and, well…
This year we got Nascar tickets…

The nascar schedule worked perfectly with our vacation plans. NASCAR results in pretty awesome footage one way or the other. We started by filming the NASCAR news, then went to the nascar race, saw the nascar drivers, and let me tell you there is nothing like seeing nascar live!

We hosted a pinball tournament that weekend at the Pinball Hall of Fame and the first place prize for winning the tournament was a ticket to NASCAR!

Now NASCAR actually Stands for “National Association Stock Car Auto Racing” but we found not too many people knew that!

In this years video you will see Trailer Tom wearing some Broncos pants a “Steve French” trailer park boys t-shirt and a Joe Dirt mullet, you will see FFej Knar wearing an “Indian Burn” T-shirt flat top mullet with a Willie Nelson headband and a head cam, and Jordan Bebout (Jaybaybee) wearing a bring orange Mark Martin car #5 shirt.

There were several crashes that day at the race and we caught a few of them on tape. We had a seat in the stands near one of the turns after the longest straight away.

The song is about a kid named Russell who decides he wants to be a professional NASCAR driver. So he goes to NASCAR school where he learns the one big NASCAR rule…..

GO, Straight, take a left, take a left, go straight,
take a left, take a left, go straight.

Filmed on location at the Las Vegas motor speedway and on location at various hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas strip.

Real rednecks were used in the filming of this video.

We went to Las Vegas Motor Speedway where there was the Sprint Cup Series drivers for the March 6 Kobalt Tools 400 will be held at LVMS on Saturday, March 5 2011.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers that attended the race for a fundraiser event included Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer, Kenny Wallace, Elliott Sadler, Danica Patrick, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, Justin Allgaier, Mark Martin, Kevin Harvick, Jason Leffler, Carl Edwards, Steve Wallace, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Aric Almirola and Trevor Bayne and lots of Johnson Juniors!

2nd Annual PinPin Plunge Off Anti Drain Fest Pinball Tournament PHoF

Photobucket

On Saturday March 5th 2011 at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas pinball players gathered from near and far to compete in a pinball tournament called the 2nd Annual PinPin Plunge off Anti Drain Fest.

Here is a quick video edit of some of the action:

This years tournament players competed for cash, trophies, a ticket to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s NASCAR race and fun!

The main tournament had 36 competitors and was a double elimination format.
The final round of the main tournament  was a heated match between Johnny Modica (L.A. California) and Tom Neighbors (las Vegas Nevada).  These 2 players battled it out in the final rounds on Buck Hunter, NBA Fastbreak, and Knight Rider. It came down to the final ball on the last game to determine a winner.  The entire finals consisted of very VERY close matches. in fact rounds were won or lost on bonuses or bonus multipliers alone.

The results of the main tournament are as follows.
Photobucket

1st place: Johnny Modica ($500.00+Trophy+Ticket to NASCAR)
2nd place: Tom Neighbors ($200.00+Trophy)
3rd place: Karl DeAngelo ($100.00+Trophy)

First place won a ticket to Sunday’s NASCAR race but Johnny had to drive back to LA immediately after the tournament, and therefore could not attend Sunday’s race.   Johnny, being the true sportsman and stand up guy that he is, kindly gave his ticket to his opponent.  So Tom Neighbors attended the race with Trailer Tom Ffej Knar, and Jordan Bebout and the crew of 4 had a blast at the race track.

There were also 2 side tournaments this year

Side Tournament #1
ONE HANDED tournament on World Poker Tour. (Highest score of the day on WPT)

Winner was Jordan Bebout ($50.00+ Pinball 101 DVD+ Pinball Collectors DVD+Pinball DVD posters)

Players Battled for 9.5 hours on the road to the podium.

Photobucket

Strong showing of women in this years tournament!  Laura Stoddard, Bre Topper, and Molly Atkinson all played well and knocked some of the boys out of the tournament!.

Tim Arnold has done a phenomenal job with the Pinball Hall of Fame. Ever year I have been to the Hall of Fame I have seen improvements in the place. This year was no different.

Tim Arnold works non-stop, seriously NON-STOP to make sure the games work well and that there is a great variety of games for all to enjoy.

The new Avatar game and New Rolling stones game were available to play in the tournament!

-2nd Annual PinPin Plunge off Anti Drain Fest Pinball Tournament-

What : Pinball Tournament

When/Date: Saturday, March 5th 2011

What Time: Tournament Starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 5th

Registration:
On Site Registration will be Saturday March 5th (the day of the tournament ) from 10am till 1pm

Where: Pinball Hall of Fame
1610 E. Tropicana
Las Vegas NV 89119

Entry Fee: $20.00 Plus cost of games played**
20 bucks gets you a $10.00 roll of quarters, and a copy of the brand new PinPin Zero Dollars Pinball film on DVD!

**(Players pay out of their own pocket for every game they play during the tournament. )

Format: Double Elimination.

Games: All PINBALL Games at Pinball Hall of Fame can be used in the tournament. See this link for a list of games:

http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

(no bingo games, or arcade video games, it must be a PINBALL machine that keeps score)

How it works: Players are randomly matched up for one-on-one rounds, by drawing names out of a hat. Each round is best 2 out of 3.

Each round will begin with a coin flip. Ultimately the coin flip will result in what player will pick “A and what player will pick “B”. The winner of the coin flip will have first choice of A,B, or C; Loser gets second leftover choice of A or B.
A= what machine will be played,
B= order of play (going first or second),
C=pass your choice to the other person. (to have your opponent make first choice)

The LOSER of each game played during the best 2 out of 3 round, gets first choice of again, A,B, or C. The WINNER of each game played during the best 2 out of 3 round gets second leftover choice of again A or B.

Throughout the tournament players can not pick the same machine twice, and players have to pick an open machine to play.

Example: If Tom chooses to play Attack From Mars, Tom can not CHOOSE Attack From Mars for the remainder of the tournament. Tom could end up playing Attack From Mars later in the tournament if Toms opponent were to choose Attack From Mars.

If it takes 3 rounds to determine a winner of the round at least one EM game must be selected (you can pick 5 ball stern games for every round, this will help keep the tournament moving along more quickly)

Extra Balls: Will be plunged and not played.

Final Round: During the final round the winner of the losers bracket will play the winner of the winners bracket. The winner of the losers bracket must beat the winner of the winners bracket TWICE (must win 2 whole ROUNDS) to win 1st place in the tournament.

In this format, even if you loose every time you step up to a machine you will at very least get to play 4 times in the tournament.

Prizes:
First place – 70% payout of the prize pot (based on number of entries but at very least $100) plus trophy.
Second place – 20% payout plus trophy.
Third place – 10% payout plus trophy.

During tournament play for purposes of Player Conduct, Machine Malfunction, Stuck Balls, Errors, or Rulings, all final decisions will be made on a case by case basis by Tournament director and host Trailer Tom (Tom Miller).

Example of tournament play:
Ffej and Tom are matched for a one-on-one round. Ffej Flips a coin, Tom calls Tails. It is Tails. Tom wins the coin flip.

Game One: Tom gets first choice and chooses to play on Attack From Mars. Ffej gets choice of order of play and Ffej chooses to go second. Tom is player one and Ffej is Player two on a 2 player game on AFM. After ball 3, Ffej has a higher score than Tom on AFM.

Game Two: Tom gets first choice, and chooses to play Adams Family. Ffej gets choice of order of play and again Ffej chooses to go second on AF. Tom is player one and Ffej is Player two on a 2 player game on AF. After ball 3, Tom has a higher score than FFej on AF.

Game Three: Ffej gets first choice, and chooses to play Star Wars. Tom gets choice of order of play and chooses to go second on SW. Ffej is player one and Tom is Player two on a 2 player game on SW. After ball 3, Ffej has a higher score than Tom on SW.
Ffej wins the Round. Tom Loses the Round. Ffej advances to the next round, Tom gets bumped to the loser’s bracket if its Toms first loss, or is eliminated form the tournament if its Tom’s second loss.

PinPin Pinball Wizard Disco

Check out the incredible bounce at 3:28. The ball drains and somehow bounces back to the flipper. Almost as awesome as some of this dance moves! lol‬

‪In this video Trailer Tom is the Pinball Wizard Disco style. ‬

‪This video was originally part of a short film that was shown at a pinball and video game film festival in San Jose California during a tournament that Bowen Kerins puts on every year called “California Extreme”. ‬

‪Trailer Tom hits the streets of Breckenridge Colorado in his pinball wizard costume on his way to a solo pinball disco dance party. ‬

‪You won’t hear the pinball wizard song lyrics here. This is no Elton John Pinball Wizard. This is Pinball Wizard Youtube disco style! ‬

‪The video highlights some disco dance play on a Pinball machine that came out in the late 1970′s called “Strikes and Spares” ‬

‪Set to the tune of the Bee Gees song staying alive from the Saturday Night Fever John Travolta movie. This song is worth a youtube search and watch. Man its classic.‬

‪The films that really stood out during the film festival were “King of Kong” a movie about the Donkey Kong video game and “High Score” a movie about Missle Command video game. ‬

‪ When People think of the phrase Pinball Wizard they think of the popular song called “Pinball Wizard” by a group called “The Who” , But the REAL pinball wizards are people like Rick Stetta, Donavan Stepp, FFej Knar and the rest of the pinball champions that can be seen in the PinPin Pinball Wizard movies. These guys are legitimate Pinball Wizards

video of girl almost getting landed on by snowboarder

girl almost gets landed on by snowboarder

a very close call when a girl almost gets landed on by snowboarder. I do not know how this girl did not get hit.

A mix of pinball and snowboard shots from the past few years. The title of this video is referring to a shot at 0:53 of this vid as well as the opening clip. A snowboarder hits a log slide at the top of Vail mouton during a party called BBB. I don’t think this girl even had any idea she was about to get seriously hurt. She was running left and right and somehow got away with a narrow miss.

Trailer Tom gets his first Valinor Multiball on Lord of the Rings Pinball

6-19-2010

Trailer Tom gets his first Valinor Multiball on Lord of the Rings Pinball.

Some say Valinor Multiball is the most difficult wizard mode to start in pinball.

After playing Lord of the Rings since it was first released back in 2003 and not starting valinor multiball until last night, I would say Valinor is definitely top 5 most difficult modes to get going.  With the help of my custom Stern Pinball/Lord of the Rings pinball T-Shirt, I started Valinor Multiball.    I finally did it, and it only took me 7 years!  Lucky for me Ffej Knar was there to capture the moment on film.

The machine I achieved this accomplishment on was basically set up PAPA style, that is, legs jacked up in the back and down in front, freshly waxed playfield, SUPER tight sneeze tilt, wide open outlanes and no rubber on the inlane posts.  No bang backs.  No chance to wicked shimmy the outlanes.  About the only thing non-PAPA about it was yes EB’s were turned on, but I did get almost all the requirements to start Valinor in the traditional 3 balls.

The Fellowship of the Ring movie multiball was the most difficult for me to complete during this game because of a short in the moving Balrog.   Only a perfectly placed hard hit to the lower right side of Bolrog would register a hit, and even then the hit register was spotty at best.

I had a couple of horrible warm up games and then I got in the zone and started nailing all the shots. All 3 movie multiball modes complete, all 7 gifts from the elves, there and back again complete, then destroyed the ring.  I was able to start 2X scoring before I started Valinor multiball and the 2X scoring lasted throughout the entirety of Valinor.  I know I got 20M for destroying the ring.  Going into Valinor I had 377M.  Valinor Multiball gave me roughly 200M and final score of 510,875,940 was good enough to earn grand champion.
